I believe early Hurricanes like mine used Midstates pipes. They were slip fits and they leaked, drove engine bay temps through the roof, made a black sooty mess and just plain sucked. I wound up having the coating blasted off, welding on flanges provided by the hew Hurricane in Iowa and then recoating. Call Steve or Monty at Hurricane and see if they are still using Midstates systems. If they are, you can buy the flanges and have them welded on after uncoating the pipes. There is no easy fix to your problem.
