Let me begin by saying I'm a dumba$$
. I spoke with Red Robers at McLeod yesterday, and he was VERY helpful. Obviously a very knowledgeable man when it comes to this stuff. After talking with him and making some more measurements we discovered (or, more correctly--he discovered) that the previous owner of the car installed a Pantera clutch in this 351C or the engine came out of a Pantera. Thus the reason for the difference in the height of the clutch 'fingers'. So, I want to appologize to McLeod for my previous post when I stated I thought they have a poorly designed product. It was my ignorance not the quality of their product that was causing the problem. So, I'm going to modify my clutch fork to work with their diaphram style performance pressure plate/disk, and hopefully that will be the end of it. I'll post a final (hopefully
) followup this weekend after I modify the fork. Thanks again for the helpful responses.
