CobraDan had sent me the link to this event. A couple of points stand out: Keith, great job putting this together! As for dyno's in the area, there are a couple, one is Atlanta Chassis Dyno in Duluth Ga, another is DynoLab in Marietta Ga. There is 0ne in Chamblee Ga (no so good neighborhood...) but all are quite a good distance from McDonough. A mobile Dyno is a good idea but quite costly, especially when you figure in their travel. I've gotten about this [] close to using Werks Performance in Charlotte who has a mobile unit but for my last event I couldn't risk the funds at the time. As for racing, I've used Silver Dollar Raceway (great 1/4 mile)in Reynolds Ga for the past 5 years with my old car clubs events. I'm not sure if they have an open date April 12-14 but if interested I'd be happy to make a call or two. I was on the phone earlier with the owner (Ed Swearington) to finalize my old clubs spring and fall events for 2002 and he is a really great guy. I believe that Reynolds is about 1.5 hours drive time from McDonough and half of that is on some very pretty roads.
Don't ge discouraged on the amount of reservations this far out, Most can't/wont make a decision until 2 months out, some not until the week prior. I havn't seen a registration page yet for the event but I would like to add my name to it if available, simply show me the way.
Thanks for the time, it looks like April 12-14 is going to be a lot of fun (too bad my car won't be ready until ~sept/oct...
