I replaced my switch last week end, it is a 10 minute job (part was about $17 at NAPA - Echlin p/n SL147) Here is a step-by-step: take a pair of small channel locks and unscrew the switch to point where it is hand removable. Place a small plastic cup under the old switch and then remove while quickly inserting the new switch. A minimal amount of brake fluid will come out. The new switch is tightened and the wires re-attached.
