The name "Halibrand" would be left off Fran's wheels, since he doesn't have the rights to reproduce the wheels from Halibrand's molds. I was asking if would have any of the other markings, typically on the later production runs of the Halibrands, embossed on them such as the "3007" or "3008" or the actual wheel sizes. Certainly the wheels sizes aren't copyrighted.
Would I rather have a set of REAL magnesium Halibrands on my car? Yes, but not having the name on the wheels won't discourage me from buying a set of generic magnesium Cobra S/C wheels from Fran. They would still make my car lighter by about 20-30 lbs. Which means there would be less weight on my tires and garage slab
In terms of badges, I'm not sure what I would do if I had a painted car, but leaving them all off on a polished Kirkham, or even a brushed finish for that matter, makes sense to me.
Hopefully that answers your question, though it may sound strange.
