What is on your insurance card? If its 2000, then you need to start over. Call Robbin Terry at Midwest Classic Insurance and get coverage issued for your 1965 Cobra replica. Then take that insurance info ONLY to a very busy safety inspection station (like a Kwik Lube down in Corpus) and tell them you need a SAFETY inspection. Once that's done then take your insurance and your safety inspection receipt to the local tag agency with your out-of-state title and bill of sale and they'll issue you a new TX title. The TXDMV/tag agency does not care about insurance and inspection as long you have proof of both and the VINs match.
