The actual term is "Assembled Vehicle" or "ASVE." In your case if you get the insurance and inspection done as 1965 per my post above, then when you tender those docs and the out-of-state 2000 title, you should get a title for a 2000 Assembled Vehicle with "1965 Cobra Replica" noted in the special remarks section. You ain't getting a 1965 title as long as that NY title is involved.
