We used to torque the cylinder head bolts on two-stroke SAAB's using just a socket with scrib marks on it. Initial torque was 50 ftlbs, then 90 degrees, bring up to temp and let cool down then do another 15 degrees if you had the nerve (the bolts would really start complaining). SAAB used 13 cylinder head bolts on the 850 cc two stroke (vintage 1965). Still have my scribed socket.
