Interesting conversation with the AFR head guy when I was getting an intake gasket recommendation. He says to not use a torque wrench on the intake bolts (we went through all of AFRs reasoning).

They just want you to "snug" then up good and firm and then consider them a maintenance item and recheck when you nut and bolt, without retightening those still snug.

But, in the end, I always torque them anyway. At 15 lbs into those aluminum heads, it starts to feel like plenty and more seems like asking for trouble.
