Been doing this myself for years, but I never drill larger than a .020 hole, no noticable drop in oil pressure and you get a nice .020 stream of oil shooting on the backside of the timing gear splashing oil all over the timing gear/chain for lubrication..........


As stated, chevy has been doing this for years, so it must be of some use.........
