I agree completely with Brent on this one (I think thats a first!! lol) Centerfarce provide very little for the cost. I had a Mcleod diaphragm. It never slipped or chattered even with my big Drag radials. After about a year of abuse, 2 of 4 rivets failed and the center of the disc. It got out of shape and would not release.
I had a trip planned and couldn’t get another Mcleod in time, so I went against my better judgment and put the POS centerfarce in it.
The engagement is/was very short, it never felt right . So fast forward a couple of weeks ago, driving home from work. I roll into the throttle in fifth, and the pos starts spinning. CRAP…...!! This new failure coupled with my past experience, means Ill never buy another one of those!!
I am half tempted to rebuild the old one myself and put it back in!! lol
Im ok with tearing them apart or blowing them up, just dont slip!!
