I checked with Rick Kopec from the Shelby American Automobile Club regarding the Y harness. His response:

"The SCCA and most vintage race sanctioning bodies already prohibit "Y" shoulder harness. They require a 5-point belt and harness set-up: the belt. 2 shoulder straps with separate mounting points. and one anti-submarine belt "

"At SAAC 27 the 5 point harness is required for the vintage race but a "Y" shoulder harness is acceptable for the open track"

FYI......SAAC 27 will be at the California Speedway, July 5-6-7
