here is the suppliers description: slightly modified for effect

Clecos are plier operated, spring loaded fasteners. These temporary fasteners, originally designed for the "Aerospace" industry, are the way to go. Clecos temporarily hold the object in place until it is ready to be fastened permanently.

Boy, I wish I had know about these thingies a while back, I knew several ladies that I could have use them on to shut em' up. So next time the wifey is giving you a hard time or engaging you in a vitriolic diatribe perhaps you may want to explain how the Cleco works. That is assumng y'all have the stones to do that.
