Mr Era237 - (I do believe we might drop the "mr's" these days, unless of course you enjoy a more formal approach to life, whereupon I would be happy to continue as we are?) - thanks for that, I have spoken with K&N, but I suspect that the attitude of K&N Europe may not be as enlightened as that in the USA, unless your name is McLaren. Their last response was to "look on the website".

Back in Black - thanks - I will chase down that part number to see where it leads

Andy - I cannot get even a 2" high 13" dia circular filter under the hood - only the oval one will fit up into the scoop. I did try originally with a dropped base circular filter - no luck. The only K&N oval filter of the right size I have turned up so far was 3" tall - and won't fit!! I calculated the filter area of an 8" dia S&H type filter which might just fit - far too small, even worse than my current one. I have some concerns about the fact that the filter sits right up into the scoop, and hence into the airflow, I understand this may not be optimal, but can do little about it. As things stand, I am limited to a Performer RPM inlet manifold, when really my engine could do with a TorkerII or even better, Vic Jnr.
