Most of the R&D money spent on paint guns is in HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure). I think in CA you have to use this type of gun commercially. It really is the way to go....less material...less overspray...etc. I think that they are easier to use also. Some of the oldtimers likely disagree. They are so good they could probably get good reults from a spray can. I have seen them do some fantastic work with the old style Binks guns!
