The Alloy on the fire wall is for a heat shield and was recommended by the manufacturer.

My inner guards also need to be replaced because i think the previous owner had the body sitting a funny way for several years resulting in the them being quite buckled. Its easier for me to remake them with alloy rather than fibreglass.
