Some early Mk IVs had Halibrands, all later 15s and ALL 16s are made by Compmotive for Autokraft. Most knock-off spinners have the ears foul on the wheel center boss before the spinner is on far enough to fully seat on the wheel. You must either flycut the back of the ears on the spinner or machine the center boss of the wheels to allow full seating.

Early MK IVs has an issue with the center lock nuts coming loose. Bob Negstad did a dye trace on his car and found that there was not enough interference angle on the wheel to nut. Bob said you need a one to two degree difference to get proper retention. Autokraft revised the nuts (the wheels were done in expensive pressure casting moulds and could not be changed).
