Default Installed Clear-Bra on my car...for those interested.

For those of you interested - I figure I can start contributing back to the forums here with my own upgrades, improvements, and additions....

Clear Bra. (I am in no way affiliated with this product - so please don't mistake this as an ad)

I have had this installed on every one of my cars since 2003. It is an amazing product that protects your car against rock dings and scratches. Granted over time - it can take the abuse and itself start to become torn or dinged up - but better the clear bra then your paint.

Clear bra does have seems that are visible if you look for them. But without detailed inspection - they are virtually impossible to spot.

Here are some pics and comments from my install.

On the backdraft - the doors and paint surrounding the cockpit can easily be dinged up from the seat belts, rings, and wrist watches. So I covered the back edge and decided to cover the whole door so there would be no visible seams.

The product I used is called Venture Shield. I believe this is a 3M product. I had it professional installed and the whole process took one professional installer nearly 7 hours to complete.

Normally these can be bought in pre-cut templates for your specific car. My guy had several cobra templates on hand but decided to do this one all free hand saying he could do a better job.

Out of about 10 pictures I took trying to show what the seam looks like - this is the best shot I could get. Notice how hard it is to see.

Here is how they did the back edge.

All in all I paid 1K installed. I am sure you can find kits that are pre cut for cheaper - but installation is not easy.

I had this done in Southern California. I will be happy to provide the details to any PM's.
