If the vehicle is repairable, there should not be any depreciation with the exception of possibly tires if they need to be replaced (flat spotted) or battery. These are usually the only things that get depreciated. As for repairing the vehicle, the insurance company, as a rule of thumb, will repair the vehicle as long as the damages are below 70% of the vehicles value. If the other insurance company is paying to fix your vehicle, the projected cost of a rental car, if needed, will be added into the repair cost to determine the % cost to repair vs. the vehicles actual cash value.
