I have no evidence of any HP claims, but they're slightly less loud than the standard Kirkham-supplied sidepipe. A little more mellow, but certainly not mellow by any stretch.

The Hushpower's (owned by Flowmaster) claim is that they're less restrictive (more HP), but also quieter. I like the sound very much and I had a sidepipe-equipped mid-year Corvette for a very long time.

All in all, a good recommendation by my shop.
