Good Deal Everyone. Thanks for the replies. Since we are all just coming out of winter hibernation - we thought it might be helpful to try early notice and see how it goes this time around like we use to do. At least folks know we are meeting and they can plan ahead a little bit and try to make it. Maybe if we carry on with this silly banter we can keep the thread up so people see it on top of the NorCal forum and reply.
As for EARLY NOTIFICATONS - What I've seen over the past decade with this group is you must give at least 7-14 days notice, or its not enough time for folks to plan or work other plans around it. If you give 30 days notice, people forget about it until the week before anyhow. During the better driving months, starting in March through November its fairly consistent with inquiries to meet up, and if someone chimes in at least two weeks (14 days) prior to suggest a time and place, we usually get a decent turnout.
Some of our largest turnouts of attendees in the past years have been in March or April as compared to all other months; probably due to Cabin fever and people finishing up winter projects wanting to get the car out.
Hope to see you all at Bert's in Sheldon March 19th at 9am with Cobra or no Cobra, rain or shine.
For NEXT month to help us pick up the energy again, making an assumption and if possible I would vote for
PhilG or
JohnM to post for our
April meetup.
In
May, we have our yearly 3rd Saturday meetup in
Sonoma Square, just as a reminder to everyone.
