Mike, I posted a long winded reply about gearboxes on the original site, but with it's disappearing act I'll answer again.

Richmond aren't happy about the idea of their gearbox behind my motor. The tech guy said it might be OK for a while, but for circuit racing with the occasional dragstrip pass, he wouldn't recommend it. Jerico are stronger again, and www.gforcetransmissions.com are top of the tree. Mike Long, the owner of G Force Transmissions and Long Shifters is fantastic to talk to. His gearbox is a more precise unit overall, and he's backing his product behind anything up to 1300hp. It's a straight-cut, non synchro box which means adjusting to the clutchless upshifts, and critical heal&toe downshifts.
