Default The cost of building DD Cobra !

My D'D Cobra is in the paint shop at this time and I thought I would put down how much it cost me to build it roughly. All the parts are new except for the engine and tranny. Engine is a 302 5.0L EFI rebuilt by myself and converted to carburetor,I kept the internal original components, just rehoned cylinders, put new rings, bearings, gaskets, new timing gear set,Stewart water pump,March pulleys,Weiand intake,Holley mech. pump,Holley 570 Street Avenger,Ford racing spark plug wires,MSD ignition,Edelbrock air filter, braided fuel lines all around.
I won't get in details but this is just an estimate based on all my bills, that doesn't count my gas to the part stores and time, just parts.
So far with the car in the paint shop,I invested around $37,000 CDN + $10,000 CDN for the paint job.
- I bought a roller chassis with "TEAM III rims" on "KELLY CHARGER" tires 295's in the back and 235's front (those are not included)
- I had installed a flaming river stainless steering column, that's an option.
- Paid $300.00 to get the suspension set up and that was cheap.
I'm doing my interior with carpet for the floor and black vinyl for tranny cover and backwall, also made my own door panels.

In the end that car will look stunning painted in Lexus Indigo ink with black stripes and pin stripes. So here you have it ! It's not cheap to build if you don't cheap out on parts and I was conservative, was it worth it,well maybe not so much for the money invested but yes for the satisfaction and it's a good ego boost !
