Only 'original' coupe built on the 'Coil spring' chassis was the 427 Super Coupe Mick has posted info on above... that was to have been a '390', not a 427 as it is now .
The other '390' was leaf spring chassis 2286? which had its chassis extended 3" to accept it, but circumstances meant it never raced before being returned to original wheelbase/289 use.

Not sure of the other '390' car mentioned in Shelbys Wildlife book, think it was a english chassis & might be the one in 'museum' as yet uncompleted.
