1. Is the battery fully charged?
2. By what path does the charge get from the alternator to the battery? What gauge is that wire?
3. Do you have a voltmeter in the dash? does it seem to work?. What does it read when the car is started and running?
4. If yes on #3, rev the engine over 2200-2500 rpm one time and note the voltmeter reading.
5. Put a temporary ground wire on the alternator housing (jumper cable perhaps) and see if there is a change.
