Just as a side note, you had better check with the fine folks at
town hall to make sure you can actually install a lift in your home garage. Ridgewood, being in Bergen County, has some quite "unique" rules and regulations for homeowners.

PS: You will love downtown, great shops, and plenty of good restaurants. If you are working in Manhattan, you will also like the train/bus schedules.....Make sure to get a parking permit though.....Ask how I know
