Cam went soft, the two lobes on #7 were almost round and others showed pitting and wear. Don't know why, religiously changed
oil but most of the flat tappets were also slightly con-caved, with one actually having a hole worn through.
Had it rebuilt with roller cam, tappets and rockers, stronger push rods, ported and polished GT40 heads with beefed up valve springs. Also went with RPM Airgap intake, a performance clutch and road-race
oil pan, and a few other things.
It sure runs a lot smoother and can definitely feel the extra power.
Now back up north to work a little to pay for it.
