Don't seal the hood scoop. Use a rain shield. Right now, if it's raining hard, I put duct tape on the inside of the hood scoop.

What I plan to do though is make a rain shield out of aluminum or plastic that will fasten to the inside of the hood scoop with wing nuts. Put it in if its raining, leave it out its not. Need to keep rain out of the air cleaner, and off the distributor cap.
