Ok its been awhile since I had a how to to share (had to take a brake from the cobras) but unfortunately one of the cobras I did years ago showed up with a crack. Unfortunately I just spent a ton of time fixing a cracked nose because the hood hinge puts a lot of stress on the body. This also was a bog financial burden on my customer having to pay to fix the crack, pay to have the parts made and the body repainted. Once it cracks you have to grind and fix it with mat and resin, filler, prime and repaint. The fact is that when the hood is in the up position and the cars running or even the wind is blowing the hood twists the body and makes it crack. I have fixed a few of these over the years and its a sad day when you have to grind into your paint job when a little extra time this can be avoided. Below are a few photos of how I added support to the last car I had to fix after it cracked, I hope it makes sense and you guys get to add / make a set before you have problems.
