I've experienced both.
Tweaked out V-8s and 4-cyl Honda.

I'll say this - I have the greatest respect for Honda's engines & engineering!

I figure they make more engines than any other company on the world!

Think about it - automobiles, motorcycles, lawnmowers, chainsaws & brush cutters, & Marine engines.

They've run and won in F1, 500cc GPs and Moto GP, amoung others.

My Honda CBR motorcycle revs to about 11000rpm all-day, every-day, and on any-day... without fear of failure! Further, it will scare the pants off all you without even trying!

...and still return fuel economy numbers that are tighter than a frog's ar$e

Naturally aspirated I'm not sure many engine manufacturers get as much out of their cubic capacity as Honda does.

I figure those who knock the Honda clearly haven't ridden one :-)
