Attention Dave (AKA Boxhead)

I was way out west yesterday, well a good half a k west of the Sydney to Newcastle Freeway (Hey its all relative and depends on your point of view) I was driving round the back of a property and look what I found…

It is an 'O' type circa 1890 he as all the bits.

He also had a 6 ton Fly Press

I know it’s a long way out of your way but if you are interested or I can help let me know and I’ll give you his contact details.

I spoke to the guy who is relocating down the south coast and he wants $500 each for the English Wheel and Fly Press, The Fly Press also has a very heavy duty table/ stand with it. He is setting up a small factory down south in association with one of the historic car racing clubs and is going to teach the members how to repair their cars and just work on his own projects. He also has an exciting contract to do two trips a year with an American Museum to display and be the sole driver of a ‘barn find’ (I think he said one of only three left in the world, I can’t say what it is.)

Currently he is restoring a written off 1957 190 SL Mercedes one of only three in the country, he reckons he’ll have it finished by Australia Day next year. He is retired and has worked on some very high profile projects. The Mercedes is car 10 out of 30 that were imported over the years the model was available and one of three 1957 cars. It has an aluminium hood, steel body, hard and soft top, mechanically and the interior are like new as it was fully restored before the owner crashed it.
