if you were to just keep adding oil to a small block ford engine, I'm guessing you could overfill it by 10 quarts, when you figure the total capacity of the pan and the capacity of the crankcase........maybe more, would it run? that's another question. I'm sure it would start and run for a while, blow by would probably be terrible....

Its not the blow by your worried about. Once the
oil level gets high enough the crank starts running through the
oil. When that happens you will loose oil pressure rather quickly because of all the air in the oil.
