Porsches and Civics. Pretty extreme comparison.
Nevertheless, when I met my wife at age thirty-three, I had just changed jobs and given up my company car. I had to sell my Harley in order to buy a daily driver. I chose a very sedate Ford Crown Vic. It was loaded up, and more like a Lincoln, but certainly not a Porsche, or anything else sporty.
My wife and I became engaged after 6 weeks of meeting, with a ring and everything (22 years ago).
Point is, she told me if I had been driving a Corvette, or Z car, or anything like that she wouldn't have had anything to do with me. This is a girl who turns 50 this fall, and wears the same dress size as when she was a cheerleader AND homecoming queen in BOTH high school AND college. (no brag, just fact
)
So there's something to be said for the research.
