Chas, you are right on both accounts. The Super Victor is 1/2" taller than the Victor Jr. However, when I supply engines to Cobra manufacturers, they find it pretty easy to work around this sort of thing. FE's with Tunnel Wedges and Victor FE intakes sometimes offer the same difficulties.

The Trick Flow TW-R and High Port heads do have a slightly raised exhaust pattern. However, flanges are available separately for those heads and it's not too hard of a modification to make.

You gotta pay to play and with the larger displacement street Windsors (427-up), I go with the 225cc heads. The TFS heads perform better than the AFR's in this size.

The AFR heads and Victor Jr intake would most certainly make a strong combination as well.

Patrick, I get a lot of requests from customers that want something that they can basically drop in with as little fuss as possible. It seems that the details can really slow you down sometimes.
