While I certainly have empathy for Avanti and would not wish what he experienced on anyone, I too am feeling pain, not in the physical sense as has been described elsewhere, but emotionally, as in pain and suffering, [attorneys take note since I am choosing my words very carefully

]. I have waited for over ten years to attain this vehicle before I pulled the trigger, irrelevant in the legal sense, but then experienced substantial delays well beyond the quoted delivery times for the engine build and installation process as I have previously mentioned in my many posts.
OK I am reasonable person, an industrial engineer by trade, build factories and ramp up manufacturing companies for a living in Asia and certainly know **** happens. However as a customer and after spending US$70,000+ just for an engine, transmission and installation costs alone, I expected to get something better than what I got. To have the car of my dreams drive train cease to function after purchasing what I thought was a world class combination of engine and transmission components after applying an aggregate of 78 miles to the vehicle, is clearly and unequivocally a total and perhaps without precedent, disaster. Not only for me as a customer but for the manufacturers and suppliers of the product and services described. Other than having the car blow up this has got to be a public relations nightmare.
Understand, the Superformance roller is and always has been outstanding, no arguments there, but the other components of this vehicle are decidedly not performing in the manner that was expected, planned for and or represent the value for monies I spent.
Clearly this should never have happened and Roush, Bowler and Voss have, without hesitation, indicated they will determine and correct what went wrong and I have been updated with probable cause, but what has been stated is only a partial analysis, since it is doubtful if the transmission has been fully disassembled to determine any stress related or induced damages to any of the engine and or transmission components.
I will keep everyone informed as to the progress as it unfolds.
