With these cars, I've been thinking of paint jobs that have some unpainted elements (like meatballs, stripes, etc..). For example, a friend of mine has an amzing MV4 Augusta motorcycle which made out of carbon fiber (the body mostly). The paint job blends some subtle graphics with the exposed carbon fiber, then it is all cleard over. It looks so good.
So you could do that with the kirkhams (some people have done the reverse by painting the stripes and meatballs on the bare body.
