Why mark the car as something it is not?

I can see the purpose....I mean, after all, there are REPLICAS....many actually pick a particular CSX car to attempt to replicate. WE know it is not a Shelby or an AC, but if we are successful at creating a good REPLICA (which could, IMHO, include badges on the car) the car will "fool" ONLY those who are familiar with original CSX cars...the rest will be no worse off for not knowing the difference.
I, for one, don't want to fool the experts, but I DO like the look of the hood and trunk badges. Mine doesn't have any, but I want to put them on. It sort of completes the look.
If you don't want people to think your car is a "Cobra", which the vast majority of car-nuts assoicate with Shelby and/or AC, then don't build a Cobra. There are plenty of original designs on the market, build one of them. Otherwise, and again this is JMHO, I feel one should feel free to "replicate" to his heart's content, and if that includes badges, I say go for it!!
