This subject seems to keep coming up. About five years ago one of the big name manufacturers came out and said that you had to replace them every so many miles (I'm thinking it was 7.5k, or maybe 10k, but can't remember for sure). Then I thought there was some sort of improvement made and that requirement was "taken away" -- again, I can't remember that for sure either.
