That is exactly what I've made and yes am trying to avoid making it a permanent fixture but I might not be so lucky.

One of the reasons is that I have a vertical plate mounted across the space where your duct tubes run and beneath the wiper tubes to house all my relays and other electrical bits and bobs and am just trying to maintain easier access should I need to go playing with the sparks and arcs down the track

One thought I've had already is to actually finish off the fibreglass duct with its own back. I assume yours is the same as mine currently is and the dash actually forms the back.

But if fully sealed the tube, other than making a connection to the dash vent holes I might be able to mount it in some other way.

Still if anyone else has a useful suggestion please chime in!
