Thanks for the added ideas guys but the tape is akin to permanent placement so again not what I really want to achieve Rob and Ben I can add tabs but where would I bolt onto, as per Geof's pic it is all dash above so the heads would be visible.

If I was using the regular stainless vent covers, these are bolted either end and hence were my original fixing idea but I want to go wider than these. So unless I get a wider pair made I need to find another option.

My earlier comment about making a link to the demist vent holes has some merit if I can find vent louvres that I can make an interferrence fit into the dash and simply hang the air supply tube off beneath.

Seems I might have to hit the pick a part yards for some inspiration.
