I understand it's harder where you are to get engines to pass inspection (engineering). So, most certainly, the LSx engines are a great way to make horsepower.

However, the power potential is so much greater with the larger engines. You may have to spin 6500-7000 rpm to make 625hp in an LS engine, where you can make 700 hp at 5500 with a large displacement engine.

There is more uniqueness there as well. There are millions of LS1/LS6/etc engines running around, but how many 505ci FE's or 572ci BBF's do you see?
