New member! Very excited. First post...

Thinking about taking the plunge. But I was with a friend in their BDR (blue and white) and it was real loud for my tastes.... My ears hurt by the time I got out. I'm down in Texas so I'm not really worried about bothering the neighbors - houses are pretty far apart and most of the pick-up trucks sound louder (no exhaust at all). hehe.

Is there a way to keep the side pipes (love the way they look) but dramatically cut down that exhaust noise without killing horsepower?

I want an older style engine. Thinking a 351 to keep my costs down. Carbs.

I know it's probably curse words on this forum. But I was curious.
