It's not. The bottom line is that it's pretty hard to easily quiet down existing loud sidepipes. Instead, you have to have the sidepipes built to have extra sound deadening in them to begin with. I did that with my pipes from Stainless Specialties and the sound is not objectionable. I don't need earplugs, nor do they give me headaches (like a lot of Cobra sidepipes do).
