Not Ranked
In the "old days" when I was running a 426 street wedge Plymouth that weighed in well over 3500 pounds or a Mustang 289 with little low end torque, powershifting was indeed faster. Kept the engine revs up.
Never powershifted with CSX3159. Didn't need to. Although it was a former drag race car and had a top loader and Hurst shifter, I really didn't trust the hydraulic clutch linkage. I didn't want to take a chance missing a gear with a 427 at full song.
Don't plan to with the Superformance, either. With the big block, I've inadvertently start out in third. Felt stupid, but no muss, no fuss, just pulls away. No question of having the torque or keeping the revs up.
