Thanks Jimbo. I have bought 2 different hoses and am proceeding to chop off what I need at each end of both.
The 2 1/4 end of the edelbrock almost seems sloppy with my 2 1/4 to 2 in reducing rubber end after you are over that initial lip.
I plan on a fairly long 90 degree ell shaped pipe made of 2 inch exhaust pipe. Measures about 7" by 10"..Then to complete, a short metal stub of 1 3/4 expanded a hair and welded into the 2 inch to allow me to connect with a 1 3/4 piece of rubber that has a slight 45 upwards to the 1 3/4"rad nipple...what a pain in the a$$.
Also have a support tab welded to this pipe to bolt to the rad crossmember which I run underneath of...

I heard WD40 makes a nice slip fit as well and beats using gob/spit.

PS thank god for double hose clamps
