As the suspension travels up and down, there will be side loads put onto the link, since it has a fixed attachment to the lower A-arm. I am no expert, but I think you'd be better off with a heim joint where the link attaches to the A-arm. Right now, the rubber is what is dealing with the side loads, and obviously not dealing with it well. Here's a link to a picture:
