Have pinged my neighbour with an email asking the question for you. I'm at work at present.
He is a very knowledgable and competent sparky albeit he tends to focus on industrial work though he has plenty of involvement in large domestic projects.
Didn't know whether you were contemplating 3 phase for the garage and even CCTV use as he is well across both these areas.
