Default 427W - running REALLLLY HOT on exhaust side

Checking in with anyone with a 427R windsor , - with a low serial number from the Folks in Livonia.

- I have serial number #270 -/+ (2006 ) in the shop right now, and there has got to be something goofy going on, - its exhaust temps are through the roof within minutes of startup (800F++ through the exhaust wrap) -- and it will not idle below 37 - 40 degrees of timing.

We found burnt wires in the engine bay and burnt sections under hood so we are thinking that this has been happening for a while. (1200 miles on the car )

Ideas >?

Does anyone have an Early 427R with a Pro-Products SFI balancer >?

I do not remember seeing one on a Livonia Produced Motor. --

There have been a couple of hands on this thing prior to us so there is ANYTHING that could have happened.

Your thoughts are welcome --Steve
