both my crank and pump pullies measure a little over 1.05. flange is on the crank so i can pull the belt off the pump for priming. when the engine gets hot the shaft centerlines are going to be farther apart so don't get the belt too tight when cold or set the tension with a hot engine. bigger difference if you have an aluminum engine. you should be able to pull the belt off cold without too much difficulty. i had a belt set too loose one time and you can hear the occasional tooth skip, sounds almost like a clattering lifter so you will know if it is too loose and skipping, didn't hurt the belt btw, those things are tough.
