Ya know, I hear a lot of talk about the
need for a lightweight engine or the BBF being too heavy, but these cars are tailhappy to begin with. One of my customers reported back a 50/50 balance with an
iron headed 460.
I have toyed with the idea of doing a destroked long rod engine based on the 429 that would achive a true 427 cubic inches, but is anyone really going to be interested when it costs the same to build a 501-557 cubic inch engine and that looks exactly the same?
